Indian Foreign Minister saddened by death of Indian tourists in Nepal



KATHMANDU: Indian Minister for External Affairs Subrahmanyam Jaishankar has expressed his sadness over the death of eight Indian tourists in Nepal.

“Deeply distressed by the tragic news of the passing away of eight Indian tourists in Nepal. Our Embassy has been closely following the situation,” he said in a tweet, “Embassy officials are stationed at the hospital and are providing necessary assistance. Our thoughts are with the bereaved families.”

Eight Indian tourists were found unconscious at Everest Panorama Resort based at Daman in Thaha Municipality in Makawanpur district on Tuesday morning. They passed away in the course treatment at Hams Hospital, Dhumbarahi.
