233 NA peacekeepers fly to South Sudan



KATHMANDU: A contingent of 233 Nepali Army Peacekeepers of Kalidhoj Battalion departed on Friday on a routine rotation to UNMISS (United Nations Mission in South Sudan).

The last batch is due to rotate in the third week of Bhadra.

NA personnel, Nepal Police and Armed Police Force personnel are currently serving as UN peacekeepers under the UNMISS.

Nepal is the fourth largest Troops and Police Contributing Country (TPCC) in terms of the number of peacekeeping forces in the United Nations Peacekeeping Operations.
