55-yr-old dies in Birgunj, coronavirus suspected



PARSA:  A person with symptoms similar to the COVID-19 has died in the course of treatment at Narayani Hospital in Birgunj on Friday morning.

According to Dr Niraj Singh of the hospital, a 55-year-old man from Ishnath municipality-9, Rautahat district passed away this morning.

The patient had been referred to Narayani Hospital from Shiva Darshan Hospital after he showed symptoms similar to the coronavirus.

He had been suffering from fever, dry cough and respiratory complications.

He had been admitted to ICU of the hospital at 3:35 am after his condition deteriorated.

His swab has been collected and sent to the laboratory for screening and his body has been kept at the hospital itself.

The actual cause of his death will be determined only after his report comes out, said Dr Singh.
