Swiss Embassy in Nepal denies involvement as mentioned in news reports



KATHMANDU: The Swiss Embassy in Kathmandu has clarified that no meeting has been requested by the Embassy here as mentioned in media reports with the Minister for Information Gokul Baskota.

Issuing a statement on Thursday, the Embassy said, “The Embassy of Switzerland in Nepal wishes to make clear that no meeting has been requested by the Embassy, nor is any meeting foreseen with the Minister for Information and Communication in the near future on the topic mentioned in the news reports.”

The Embassy said it is neither aware nor involved in any dealings of the person quoted in the news reports as a local agent of a Swiss company.
