KATHMANDU: Minister for Information Gokul Baskota has resigned from his post on Thursday.

Speaker of the House of Representatives (HoR) Agni Sapkota informed the House that Minister Baskota has tendered his resignation.

Sapkota informed this while responding to the concerns of the Nepali Congress lawmakers.

Minister Baskota was dragged into controversy following the leakage of his audio clip in which he has been heard of bargaining for Rs 700 million in bribe over the procurement of security printing press for the government.
