NC obstructs Upper House demanding Baskota’s dismissal

KATHMANDU: The main opposition, Nepali Congress, has obstructed today’s session of the National Assembly demanding that the government sack Minister for Information Gokul Baskota.

Baskota has been dragged into controversy following the leakage of his audio clip in which he has been heard of bargaining for Rs 700 million in bribe over the procurement of security printing press for the government.

Minister Baskota, however, speaking at a program in western Nepal has said that he was ready to face any punishment if the blame is proved.
