KATHMANDU: All the four security agencies have instructed the subordinate bodies to adopt a high security vigilance as soon as the Cabinet meeting on Sunday morning recommended Parliament dissolution.
Subordinate bodies have been instructed to adopt high security vigilance in view of the security challenges that may come with the government’s decision, said a source close to the security body.
Nepal Police Headquarters has issued instructions to all subordinate bodies to adopt high vigilance.
“No instructions have been received from the government. But, with the recommendation of dissolution, we have instructed the subordinate bodies to adopt high vigilance in view of the challenge,” said a headquarters source.
Similarly, the Nepal Army (NA) has also issued instructions to all divisional Chiefs to adopt high security vigilance.
A military source said, “All the divisional Chiefs have been asked to be vigilant.”
Similarly, the National Intelligence Department and Armed Police Force have also been instructed to adopt security vigilance.
