Trump warns of potential further US casualties as Iran strikes continue

WASHINGTON DC: US President Donald Trump has warned that additional American casualties are likely as military operations in Iran continue until “all objectives” are achieved.

The US Central Command reported that three US service members have already been killed in action, with five others seriously injured.

Iranian officials have confirmed that at least 153 people, including children, were killed when a strike hit a school. In Israel, medical services reported nine fatalities following a missile strike in the city of Beit Shemesh. Meanwhile, the United Arab Emirates said three people were killed by Iranian attacks since yesterday, and Kuwait reported one death.

Iran’s foreign minister indicated that a new Supreme Leader could be appointed within “a day or two” following the death of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. The escalating conflict has also affected global markets, with oil prices surging in Asian trading on Monday.
