KATHMANDU: Chairman of Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Pushpa Kamal Dahal in a meeting with Prime Minister KP Oli today expressed displeasure about the process of political appointments without consulting the party.
Dahal, who reached Baluwatar to meet PM Oli on Thursday, expressed dissatisfaction about the political appointments that he claimed should have been made with the party’s consent.
Dahal was of the view that PM Oli needs to move ahead on the basis of consensus with him at a time when they have formed a task force to resolve the intra-party feud.
PM Oli, however, claimed that the decisions of political appointments were made in the past even though the announcements were made now.
It should be noted that the NCP has constituted a six-member task force led by party General Secretary Bishnu Paudel to resolve the internal row.
The members of the task force include Bhim Rawal, Shankar Pokharel, Janardan Sharma, Surendra Pandey and Pampha Bhusal.
Likewise, Dahal and Oli also discussed the fate of the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC).
Chairman Dahal had on Wednesday claimed that the party will decide on the MCC soon hinting at the possibility of endorsing it from the parliament.
