Rainfall forecast across country for coming 24 hours



KATHMANDU: Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, Meteorological Forecasting Division has forecast light to moderate rainfall in the next 24 hours across the country.

According to meteorologist Sajina Shakya, light to moderate rainfall is taking place across throughout the country at present and it will likely continue for 24 hours.

She further predicted that heavy rainfall could be witnessed in some parts of Province-1, Province-2, Bagmati Province, and Gandaki Province and a few parts of Province-5, Karnali Province and Sudurpaschim Province.

The department has further urged all to be alert in these regions as continuous rainfall may cause landslide, inundation, soil erosion which might result in damage to life and property.

The monsoon low-pressure system is shifting towards Nepal of late, according to the Department.
