NCC hands over 24-point recommendation to Finance Minister

KATHMANDU: Offering the private sector’s commendation to cope up with the economy adversely affected by COVID-19, Rajesh Kaji Shrestha, the President of Nepal Chamber of Commerce submitted a 24-point recommendation to Minister for Finance, Communication and Information Technology Dr. Yuba Raj Khatiwada today.

Voicing concerns of the private sector and the COVID weighed down entrepreneurs Rajesh Kaji Shrestha, the President of Nepal Chamber of Commerce handed over a 24 point recommendation to the Finance Minister.

According to the press release issued by Nepal Chamber of Commerce, speaking to the delegation Finance Minister Dr. Khatiwada thanked the private sector for their commendable role in the supply of goods of daily consumption and medical materials and expected similar cooperation in future.

“Banks and financial institutions should not be profit-oriented in such a situation, hence the government will extend the time for the payment of interest and will also make the cash flow easier,” Minister Khatiwada assured the entrepreneurs.

According to the NCC press release, Dr. Khatiwada also assured the inclusion of the private sector in the High-Level Task Force formed to study the corona impact on the national economy.
