Four laws related to fundamental rights published in Nepal Gazette



KATHMANDU: Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Dr Shivamaya Tumbahamphe has initiated activities to formulate regulations with an aim to bring fundamental rights into implementation.

Calling secretaries of the concerned ministries related to law, Minister Tumbahamphe instructed them to expedite the activities to formulate regulations.

Out of 16 regulations to be formulated under the Fundamental Rights Act, only four have been published in the Nepal Gazette.

The Regulation Related to Right to Employment, the Regulation Related to Land (Seventeenth Amendment), the Regulation Related to Consumers and the Regulation Related to Social Security has been published in Nepal Gazette.

Though the activities to formulate Regulations related to Children and Environment Protection Act have been completed, it is still remaining to publish in Nepal Gazette.

The Regulation Related to Rights of Persons with Disability (First Amendment) has been tabled in the cabinet.

The Ministry has started to formulate regulations to carry out activities as per the acts.

The government has formulated 16 acts, out of 31, related to fundamental rights within three years of promulgation of constitution for the implementation of fundamental rights.
