KATHMANDU: The Nepal government has organized various programs to mark the 70th Democracy Day across the country with fanfare on Wednesday.

Falgun 7 is the day when the democracy was reinstated in the country by overthrowing the 104-year-old despotic Rana rune.

President Bidya Devi Bhandari, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, Speaker Agni Sapkota among high ranking government officials were present in the ceremony organized at the Army Pavilion Tundikhel today.
