KATHMANDU: Budhanilkantha Municipality decided to seal ward no 10, 11,12 after an 18-year-old girl, currently residing in Budhanilakantha Municipality-12 and originally from Ramnagar, Sarlahi, tested positive for coronavirus on PCR testing procedure.

After the meeting of wards representatives, the Municipality decided to seal the wards effective from Monday midnight. During the sealed tenure, no one is allowed to move outside the home, a press note released by the municipality read.

During the test of suspicious seven persons, 3 tests come negative while a case reports positive for the COVID-19.

The reports of three persons are yet to come.

PCR test is said to be performed on 15 others who came to her contact.

With the confirmation of the virus infection, she has been kept at the isolation ward in Teku-based Shukraraj Tropical and Infectious Disease Hospital.

The wards have been sealed to adopt additional alert measures to prevent the outbreak of COVID-19 following the confirmation of a case.

Police and volunteers have been mobilized to check the people’s mobility in the restricted area.

Similarly, the municipality has kept 12 persons in the quarantine center established by the municipality in Chahari Building based in Budhanilkantha-6.

It is learned that they have come from Nepalgunj during the lockdown.
