KATHMANDU: The price of gold declined slightly in the domestic market on Wednesday, while silver registered a modest increase.
According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Associations, the price of fine gold fell by Rs 1,000 per tola from Tuesday’s rate to Rs 283,200 per tola. Meanwhile, silver gained Rs 10 per tola, reaching Rs 4,320.
On Tuesday, fine gold was traded at Rs 284,200 per tola, while silver was priced at Rs 4,310 per tola. Earlier on Monday, gold had been traded at Rs 288,500 per tola and silver at Rs 4,445 per tola.
In the international market, gold was trading at around US$3,429 per ounce, while silver was trading at approximately US$38.57 per ounce.
