Kapilvastu sealed for 15 more day



KAPILVASTU: The District Administration Office, Kapilvastu has sealed the district for another 15 days citing a high risk of spreading coronavirus infection.

Earlier, the district was sealed off from May 11-18.

Chief District Officer Dirgha Narayan Poudel said that the decision to seal the district for 15 more days was done after the government extended the lockdown until June 2.

The decision was taken at a joint meeting of the Coronavirus Disaster Management Committee and the District Security Committee held at the Administration Office.

The previous decision has been upheld but the days for buying vegetables and food grains have been reduced. Now, from 7 am to 9 am on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays one is allowed to buy vegetables and food grains. Entering and exiting the district is strictly prohibited.

All industries except essential industries, factories, businesses and vehicles have been completely banned.

The district has been sealed as per Section 6 (3) A of the Local Administration Act 2028 BS and Section 2 (1) of the Infectious Diseases Act 2020 BS.

A total of 43 coronavirus infections have been found in the district so far.
