Budhanilkantha’s Tenzing Chowk sealed; prohibitory order in Tarkeshwor

KATHMANDU: Tenzing Chowk of Budhanilkantha-12 has been sealed after a teenage girl was found infected with COVID-19.

An 18-year-old girl working in a furniture factory at Tenzing Chowk, Kapan, was sent to Teku based Shukraraj Tropical and Infectious Disease Hospital after she tested positive for coronavirus.

According to Uddav Prasad Kharel, Mayor of Budhanilkantha Municipality, all four workers of the furniture factory had undergone the tests after the municipality received the notice about their recent arrival to Kathmandu from the Tarai.

Mayor Kharel added that the 250 meters from the furniture where the woman stayed has been sealed due to the fear of the pandemic virus spread.

Meanwhile, 15 persons, who were in contact with the woman, have been tested for COVID-19. After the enforcement of sealed, people are prohibited to move from one area to another.

Similarly, Tarkeshwor Municipality has enforced prohibition to the unfamiliar or unknown and vehicles. The municipality imposes prohibitory order until the lockdown prevails in the country.
