MELAMCHI: 10 persons from Bhotekoshi municipality-3 have returned the first tranche of the post-earthquake reconstruction grant in Sindhupalchowk district.

Laxman Kumar Seth, officiating chief of district coordination unit, said ten persons who suffered in the 2015 earthquake returned Rs 50,000 each provided as the first tranche.

Those returning the amount to the government are landless and displaced squatters including Gokul Kami, Sarki Kami, Bishnu Kami, Purna Bahadur BK, Sanu BK, Kali Kamini, Som Bahadur Kami, Manmaya Kami, and Gori Maya Kami.

They returned the amount in the presence of Krishna Gopal Tamang, the chief of the district coordination committee.
