 5 foreigners suspected with COVID-19 admitted to Teku Hospital

KATHMANDU: Five foreigners suspected with coronavirus have been admitted to Teku Hospital.

According to Dr Sagar Raj Bhandari, director of the hospital, four among those hospitalized have been kept at an isolation ward while the other is undergoing treatment at Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the hospital.

According to Bhandari, they are from America and Scotland. They were hospitalized on Monday.

One of them who showed critical symptoms of pneumonia was shifted to ICU. “We admitted him to ICU after his condition was critical,” said Bhandari.

His first test result has come out. He tested negative for the coronavirus. “We are preparing to conduct test for the second time,” added Bhandari.

The screening results of all the cases will come by today evening, according to the hospital.
