NA sending wide body aircraft to China to bring medical supplies

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Army (NA) is sending a Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) wide body plane to China’s Guangzhou to bring some 18 tons of medical supplies.

The government had bought the medical supplies via NA to combat the spread of the coronavirus in the country.

NA Spokesperson Bigyan Dev Pandey said that the plane will land at the Tribhuvan International Airport on Tuesday with the supplies, including personal protective equipment (PPE) sets, test kits, gloves, and N95 masks, among others.

The NA, which is bringing around 42 tons of supplies from China, had on Saturday imported medical supplies via land route.
