KATHMANDU: Amid the fear of coronavirus transmission through transaction via money, the currency disinfection machine has arrived in Nepali market on Wednesday.
The machine made public today claims to disinfect the virus hiding in the paper note.
The machine brought to market by Khem’s Cleaning and Rapid Surgical is said to be capable of disinfecting various things including the paper notes in banks to goods like PPE, masks, glasses, etc used in hospitals and the watch, glasses, among other stuff used in homes.
Executive Director of the company, Manish Thapa claimed that the machine can disinfect any goods within 30 seconds to 4 minutes.
The machine has been introduced to market after executing an experimental trial at New Road Branch of Kumari Bank.
The machine is believed to be of great use in Nepal where most of the people do most of their transaction through cash rather than doing it online.
