Police fire warning shots in Chitwan



CHITWAN: Chitwan police fired warning shots in the air after local people broke the prohibitory order at Piple in Rapti municipality in the district.

A clash occurred between the police and locals after the former tried to prevent the latter from breaking the prohibitory order, said Assistant Chief District Officer Netra Prasad Sharma.

The local administration has imposed a prohibitory order in the district following increasing COVID-19 infection cases.

The police held one Thakur Bartaula in charge of encouraging people to break the order.
