KATHMANDU: Two personnel of the Nepal Army (NA) have been confirmed to be infected with coronavirus for the first time in Nepal.

NA Spokesperson Bigyan Dev Pandey said that the PCR test conducted in Janakpur confirmed that two personnel were infected with the coronavirus.

According to Spokesperson Pandey, they are deployed at Mid-Eastern Division in Mahottari. It is said that one of them is the Division Chief.

They are being brought to Kathmandu by an ambulance will be kept at the Corona Special Hospital of the Armed Police Force.

At a regular press briefing on Saturday, Health Ministry Spokesperson Dr. Bikash Devkota said coronavirus infection had been confirmed in 52-year-old men from Mahottari and 26-year-old men from Kavre.

It is confirmed that they are working in the army.
