Businesses, hotels to open in Kathmandu Valley; odd-even system to continue



KATHMANDU: The Kathmandu District Administration Office has given approval to open businesses, trade and hotels in Kathmandu from tomorrow.

The provision of opening business and trade according to the specific days has been removed from Wednesday until further notice.

Earlier, the administration had allowed trade and business to operate in the Kathmandu Valley on specific days.

Similarly, the provision of odd-number system will be in place in Kathmandu.

Likewise, gatherings in open space, religious and social get-togethers have been strictly prohibited.

The administration issuing a notice saying people are not allowed to gather in open space, and hold rallies. Likewise, organizing processions, festivals and banquets are also prohibited.

Religious and cultural places, including temples, mosques and churches are not allowed to conduct activities other than regular worship.

Overcrowded industries, and businesses that violate health standards, and running educational institutions are also prohibited.

Crowded areas, including all kinds of seminars, training, cinema halls, party palaces, saloons, spas, swimming pools, gyms are not allowed to open.
