Courts to remain closed on Thursday



KATHMANDU: The Supreme Court (SC) has decided to close all courts on Thursday.

A plenary meeting of the SC on Wednesday decided to close all courts across the country to mourn the demise of former Chief Justice Anirudha Prasad Singh.

Expressing sorrow over Singh’s demise, the SC meeting also paid tributes to late Singh while extending heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family members, according to SC spokesperson Bhadrakali Pokhrel.

Singh had served as the Chief Justice for three years from 2013 to 2016 B.S.
