Oli, Dahal to discuss appointments in constitutional bodies with NC President Deuba tomorrow

KATHMANDU: The ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) is holding talks with the main opposition Nepali Congress (NC) party on fulfilling the vacant posts in the constitutional bodies.

A meeting between Prime Minister KP Oli and Executive Chairman of NCP Pushpa Kamal Dahal decided to discuss the issue with NC President Sher Bahadur Deuba on Thursday, NCP leader Subash Chandra Nemwang said.

Several posts in the constitutional bodies such as the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA), Election Commission (EC), among others are lying vacant.

Oli and Dahal has accelerated meetings in recent times, particularly after Friday’s Standing Committee meet.

The two top brass have resolved almost all intra-party disputes, particularly on power-sharing.
