Kohalpur-12 ward chairman found dead in UP, India



NEPALGUNJ: Krishna Bahadur Khadka, 68, ward chairperson of Kohalpur municipality-12 of Nepalgunj, has been found dead in Bahraich of Uttar Pradesh, India.

Khadka’s family said he had left his home for Mehalkuna of Surkhet on Tuesday. However, he was found dead in a room of Shankar Hotel, according to Banke DSP Shiva Singh.

Ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP leaders and others have already left for Uttar Pradesh, India after receiving the news of Khadka’s death.

Before leaving for Surkhet, Khadka had informed the ward office about his visit, it has been learned.

Police are trying to gather information about the cause of Khadka’s death.
