KATHMANDU: The government has instructed the medical colleges to allocate beds for COVID-19 patients after the hospitals are running out of beds following a surge in coronavirus cases.

The Ministry of Health has asked medical colleges across the country to set aside at least one-third of the beds for the treatment of COVID-19 patients.

“All medical colleges across the country have been asked to set up separate isolation buildings or rooms for the treatment of coronavirus by allocating one-third of the beds,” Health Ministry Spokesperson Dr. Jageshwor Gautam said.
