Heavy rains forecast in western part of Nepal



KATHMANDU: Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD) has said the weather will be generally cloudy throughout the country today.

According to a weather bulletin issued by the MFD, heavy rains will occur in some places of the western part of Nepal for three days.

With the low pressure monsoon trough locating near the western region of the country, more rains are predicted in the western region compared to the central and the eastern parts of the country.

According to meteorologist Samir Shrestha, heavy rains will occur in some parts of Gandaki Pradesh, Karnali Pradesh, Pradesh 5 and Sudurpashchim Pradesh this afternoon.

Pradesh 1, Pradesh 2, Bagmati Pradesh will witness corporately less rainfall. Similarly, heavy rains will occur in some parts of Gandaki Pradesh, Pradesh 5 and Sudurpashchim Pradesh tonight, Shrestha said.

The weather will not clear for the next three days, according to Shrestha.
