17 sent back home prior to PCR results diagnosed with COVID-19

DANG: Seventeen people who were sent back home before their PCR reports arrived have tested positive for coronavirus in the district.

Those infected include 13 from the quarantine based in Ghorahi Sub Metropolitan City-17 and four from Kwadi-based Primary School.

On June 10, 16 among 35 dwellers had been sent from Chaughera quarantine prior to the PCR swab results came out.

Among them, 13 people’s swab test results came out to be positive, said ward chairman Tul Prasad Ghimire. They had been sent back home after RCR results did not arrive even after a week.

The newly infected have recently returned from India. Among those infected, 12 are males while one is female.

Similarly, four who were sent back home from Kwadi-based Primary School before their PCR results came out have also tested positive for COVID-19, according to Ghimire.
