NCP asks Baburam to substantiate his allegation of Oli-Dahal’s involvement in sharing bribe with evidence

KATHMANDU: The ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) has challenged former Prime Minister Dr Baburam Bhattarai to furnish evidence to confirm his allegation that Prime Minister KP Oli and NCP Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ shared bribes in the Budhigandaki hydropower project.

The ruling NCP has challenged Dr Bhattarai, who is also a senior leader of the Janata Samajwadi Party, to submit evidence of bribery in public and to the concerned official authority of the state.

Issuing a statement, NCP Spokesperson Narayan Kaji Shrestha urged Dr Bhattarai to refrain from creating delusions.

The party has also demanded that Dr Bhattarai should publicly apologize for his allegation.

“There should be a public apology for such offensive and irresponsible remarks made by a person like Dr Bhattarai who has already become the country’s Prime Minister,” the statement said.

It may be recalled that Dr Bhattarai has accused PM Oli, Chairman Dahal and Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba of sharing a total of Rs 9 billion in the Budhi Gandaki project.
