Bahrabise landslide: 13 bodies retrieved, 18 still missing



CHAUTARA:  The death toll from the landslide in Bahrabise municipality-7 has  reached 13  after two  bodies were retrieved on Monday morning.

Earlier, until yesterday, 11 bodies were recovered from the landslides that occurred at Bhimkharka and  Nakbuchche of Ghumthang at the wee hours of Sunday.

Acording to DSP Prakash Sapkota of District Police Office, Sindhupalchowk, the bodies of Kumar BK, 22, and Soniya BK, 21, were found this morning. As many as 18 bodies are still missing in the landslides.

A team from Nepal Police, Armed Police Force and Nepal Army is searching the missing bodies in the incident site, informed Police Inspector of Area Police Office, Bahrabise.

A total of 22 houses had been fully damanged by the landslides and 58 families have been shifted to a safe area.
