Mets forecast rain on Friday



KATHMANDU: The Meteorological Forecasting Division has said the weather throughout the country will remain partly cloudy with possibilities of rain or thundershower due to the effect of the westerly and local winds.

Meteorologist Manju Basi informed that the country is likely to witness a thunderstorm accompanied by gusty winds and lightning at some places of the central and western regions and at a few places of the eastern region.

The Division said some places of the hilly region will be partly to generally cloudy throughout the country tonight with isolated brief rain or thundershowers.

The westerly winds will remain active in the central and eastern hills of the country from Friday.

In the evening, chances of light to moderate snowfall at many places of the high mountainous region has been forecasted.
