NCP leaders from Karnali including CM Shahi summoned to Kathmandu



KATHMANDU: The Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Chairmen KP Oli and Pushpa Kamal Dahal alias Prachanda have summoned Chief Minister Mahendra Bahadur Shahi to Kathmandu along with the office-bearers of the Province Committee.

A leader said that office-bearers, Chief Minister, and the disgruntled parliamentarians were called to Kathmandu following a discussion between the Chairman duo on Tuesday.

The dispute has escalated after 18 lawmakers filed a no-confidence motion against Chief Minister Shahi.

The agreement was reached between groups loyal to Prachanda and senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal on Tuesday will not be implemented immediately after leaders summoned to Kathmandu.

As per the agreement, the group loyal to leader Nepal will get three ministers and one parliamentary party whip.

Janardan Sharma is the In-charge of the Province Committee, while Yamlal Kandel and Gorakh Bahadur Bogati are Deputy In-charge and Chairman respectively. Maya Prasad Sharma is the Secretary of the Province Committee.
