Locust swarms reach Pyuthan



BUTWAL: The new swarm of locusts that entered Dang via India has reached another neighboring district Pyuthan on Monday, said Provincial Agricultural Directorate.

“The locusts that entered Dang from India has spread to many places of Pyuthan,” a senior official at the directorate said, adding, “It has been moving to different parts of the district.”

Likewise, a swarm of locusts that entered Kapilvastu, Palpa, Gulmi, Arghakharchi few days ago are now heading towards Arghakhanchi.

The directorate is collecting the details of the loss and damage caused by the new swarms of locusts.
