Number of deceased in Myagdi landslide reaches 28



MYAGDI: The number of deaths due to monsoon-triggered floods and landslides has reached 28 in Myagdi district.

The number has reached 28 after a body among those missing in the landslides in Thadakhani of Raghuganga rural municipality-6, Marang of Dhawalagiri-6 and Bim of Malika-7, according to District Police Office, Myagdi.

The body of Khim Bahadur Gugjali was recovered on Sunday, said DSP Kiranjung Kunwar of DPO, Myagdi. Earlier on Saturday, 27 bodies had been retrieved.

Elisa KC of Malika-7, Bim, Jamina KC and Sabin Pun of Dawalagiri-6, Marang and Gita Roka of Malika-6, Darwang are still missing in the landslides, said Kunwar.
