Samajwadi Party demands to impeach CIAA Chief

KATHMANDU: Samajwadi Party has requested the main opposition Nepali Congress (NC) to impeach the Chief Commissioner of the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA).

Speaking at the special hour of House of Representatives on Tuesday, Whip of Samajwadi Party Sarita Giri said that the filing of case on the Lalita Niwas land grab was inspired by political vengeance and thus CIAA Chief should be impeached.

Recalling that impeachment motion was tabled against the then Chief Justice Sushila Karki and the then CIAA Chief Lokman Singh Karki, Giri requested filing of the motion against the current CIAA Chief.
