Myagdi Landslide: 12 bodies retrieved so far



MYAGDI: Twelve bodies missing in the landslides in Dhaulagiri rural municipality-6 and Malika rural municipality in Myagdi district have been retrieved.

Three people had gone missing in the landslides of Kalleni of Marang, 10 in Ramche, seven in Rikh and one each in Thulegaun and Kumri.

Two bodies were recovered in Kalleni and Thulegaun, Marang’s ward chair Rajaram Subedi quoted a local as saying.

A search operation is underway to find five people missing at Tallogaun of Bim, two in Dule and one in Nauru.

A 50-year-old Naliman Chhantyal has died after being swept away by Lapu Khola in Raghuganga rural municipality-6.

Similarly, 40-year-old Gita Roka was swept away by Dukhu Khola in Mali rural municipality-6.

The search operation has been hit due to incessant rains.
