After VN 2020, Nepal plans Visit Nepal Decade

KATHMANDU: Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Yogesh Bhattarai has said that the government will announce Visit Nepal Decade to promote Nepal’s tourism sector.

Minister Bhattarai said this will be incorporated in the government’s annual policy and program that the President will present this week.

His statement comes a couple of weeks after the government withdrew the widely-talked-about Visit Nepal Year 2020 campaign due to the global coronavirus outbreak.

Minister Bhattarai said since the Visit Nepal Year 2020 has been cancelled, Visit Nepal Decade will be announced in a bid to revive Nepal’s tourism sector after the coronavirus pandemic.
