Four absconding defendants in banking offence case arrested



KATHMANDU: Four absconding defendants accused of offences under the Banking Offences and Punishment Act, 2064 have been arrested.

According to the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB), the suspects were arrested from different locations today based on a letter received from Nepal Rastra Bank. The arrested individuals are Shashidhar Sharma, Rashmi Panta of Baitadi, Santosh Gyawali and Rajendra Shrestha of Gulmi, and Shishir Poudel of Rupandehi.

Senior Superintendent of Police Anupam Shumsher JBR said that further investigation into the case is underway.
