Singaporean man arrested from TIA with USD 11,277

KATHMANDU: A Singaporean national has been arrested from Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) with USD 11,277.

According to Police, Tan Ghim Chiong, 57, holding passport number K0926002G was held while he was heading to Singapore through a flight of Silk Air.

The amount was concealed in hand baggage he was carrying, police said, adding they also recovered Rs 121,615 from his possession.

He has been handed over to the Department of Revenue Investigation for further action.
