Girl dies in leopard attack



BAITADI: A nine-year-old girl was killed by a leopard at Melauli municipality-9 in Baitadi on Tuesday morning.

The deceased has been identified as Sita Luhar.

The leopard attacked the girl in her bed. Her body was found some 500 meters away from the house.

Deputy Superintendent of Police, Dilli Narayan Pandey said Harka Bahadur Saud, 25, of Shivanath rural municipality-4 was also attacked by a leopard on March 4.

With this, some 25 people have lost their lives to leopard attack in Baitadi since 2068 BS, he informed.
