KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, who took a two days’ rest after undergoing dialysis on Saturday, has called a cabinet meeting today.

Amid speculations whether a regular meeting will be hampered by the health condition of the prime minister, the cabinet meeting is taking place at 1 pm today.

According to sources, the meeting will dwell on the next Inspector General of Police.

The post of IGP is falling vacant, as Nepal Police Chief Sarbendra Khanal is retiring from tomorrow on age ground.

Deputy Generals of Police Thakur Gyawali and Tarani Prasad Lamsal are in the fray for the coveted post of next IGP, according to sources.
