US provides raft boats and mistral rafts to NA

KATHMANDU: The United States has provided raft boats and mistral rafts to the Nepal Army (NA).

The United States handed over six raft boats and four mistral rafts to NA as assistance.

Defense Attaché LTC John Matt Sova and ODC Chief Maj. Michael P. White handed over the raft boats and mistral rafts to Colonel Rajendramani Giri at a function at the Gauchar-based barrack on Tuesday.

The national army is confident that it will be useful in rescue and relief work during water-borne disasters such as floods and provide additional assistance to the army rescue team.
