TU Service Commission gets over 12,000 applications for 574 seats



KATHMANDU: The Tribhuvan University (TU) has received over 12 thousand applications for 574 posts under the administration service, seeking to fill up the posts through open competition.

This is 21 times more applications than the number of seats for which it had announced vacancy towards administration service on December 1, 2019.

TU said it has received 12,233 applications for the posts till the deadline that ended on January 4.

It has received a total of 2,680 for 77 seats for staff nurses only.

Likewise, a total of 1,939 have applied for 43 posts of chief office assistant.

Meanwhile, 1,745 have applied for 51 office assistant posts while 1,502 have applied for section officer under which 40 seats have been allotted.

Similarly, 773 candidates have applied for the 10 seats of the nursing officer and 505 for 21 seats of chief account assistant.

A total of 495 people have applied for 18 seats for computer technical assistant and 428 for 18 seats of account assistant.

Likewise, 336 people have applied for 11 seats of chief technical assistant towards pathology followed by 325 applications for eight posts of chief computer technical assistant.
