House committee instructs govt to complete Karnali corridor

KATHMANDU: The Development and Technology Committee of the House of Representatives has directed the government to complete the under-construction Karnali corridor at the earliest.

A meeting of the committee on Wednesday directed the government after taking stock of project progress from the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport, Defense Ministry and the Nepal Army.

Committee members emphasized the need for early completion of the project that links Simkot, the district headquarters of Humla to the road network.

Committee chairperson Kalyani Kumari Khadka alleged the Department of Roads for lacking a substantial study before starting the project.
