All four samples test negative for COVID-19 in Janakpur



JANAKPUR: The laboratory reports of all four people whose sample swabs were tested at Janakpur-based state hospital have come negative.

Secretary at the State-2 Ministry of Social Development Ram Prasad Ghimire shared this information at a press meet today.

It may be noted that 38 out of 79 sample swabs sent for lab tests in State-2 tested negative as of today. The reports of 41 suspects are yet to be received, he said.

As shared at the press meet, 136 quarantines centers with a total of 2,735 beds have been set up in the eight districts of the State.

Among them, 968 persons have been kept in quarantines and 22 in isolation beds while 1,006 are in home quarantine, Ghimire said. He further shared that 299 persons are being kept in 30 quarantines and 48 in home quarantines while one is in isolation in Saptari.

Likewise, 127 are being kept in19 quarantines while 77 are in home quarantines in Siraha. In Dhanusha 82 are being kept in 16 quarantines, 40 in home quarantines and seven in isolation. Mahottari has 44 in 16 quarantines and 775 in home quarantines whereas Sarlahi has 53 in 16 quarantine facilities, 32 in home quarantines.

There are 215 in 16 quarantines and four in home quarantines in Rautahat. Parsa has 98 in 9 quarantines, five in home quarantines and five in isolation while there are 50 in 14 quarantines, 25 in home quarantines and nine in isolation.

Al those nine kept in isolation are said to have returned from a religious program held in India recently, secretary Ghimire said.
