Nepal to face India in its first match of U-15 SAFF Championship



KATHMANDU: The fixtures of the U-15 SAFF Championship slated to be organized in August has been unveiled on Tuesday. As per the fixture, Nepal will kick off the competition with a game against host India on August 21.

The regional football tournament will be organized in Kalyani Stadium in West Bengal, India on August 21-31. Along with Nepal and India, Bangladesh, Bhutan and Sri Lanka will be taking part in the competition. The game will be played on a round-robin basis and top two teams will qualify for the final.

Nepal will play its second match against Sri Lanka on August 23, face Bangladesh on August 27 and play against Bhutan on August 29.

Nepal had hosted the 2018 edition of the championship in which Bangladesh had emerged a winner.
