How to reduce use of plastics?

Plastic waste is a global problem blighting our oceans, rivers and natural spaces. Here is an advice on how to reduce your consumption of plastic in your daily life.

More than eight million tons of plastic end up in the oceans each year. This debris results in an estimated $13 billion a year in losses from damage to marine ecosystems, including financial losses to fisheries and tourism as well as time spent cleaning beaches.

1. Ditch the plastic bags
2. Switch to natural products
3. Use a reusable drink bottle and coffee cup
4. Buy loose ingredients
5. Avoid synthetic fibres
6. Write to suppliers
7. Take part in a beach clean or litter pick
