Budget session of federal parliament begins today



KATHMANDU: The budget session of the federal parliament is beginning today. It will start at the International Convention Center in New Baneshwar at 4 pm.

President Bidya Devi Bhandari has called the session at the recommendation of the Council of Ministers. The session will focus on the annual policies and programs of the government, budget and enactment of laws for the implementation of the Constitution, informed Krishna Bahadur Mahara, speaker of the parliament.

This is the fourth session which is starting one month after the third session that ended at the end of March.

The deliberation on the polices and programs of the government will be held prior the pre-budget discussion unlike the previous trend. The government’s policies and programs will be submitted on May 3.
